Workshop with Europeana Hackathoners
For 2 days we were busy in giving a workshop to the winning concepts of the Europeana Hackathon: 3 teams, 6 participants, 5 different nationalities, one day in Amsterdam and another day in Eindhoven.
The subject of workshop was how to improve the concepts and how possible to develop them in actual startups. In the 1st day Kees van Nunen and Timo Mulder have talked about Business Model Generation and Lean Start-up, leaving the 2nd day to Evan Gelders to talk about Interaction Design, where else than in a Phillips Building, during the Dutch Design Week.
The result? 6 software developers that realized:
- the importance of thinking also in business terms
- realizing how important is to test any idea with potential customers before writing any code line
- talking to customers
- interaction design significantly improves their concepts
- lean canvas – put any business idea on a 1-page business plan
